What is a phlebotomy test?

Phlebotomy means that the blood sample is drawn directly from a vein and must be done by a qualified healthcare professional. Most of our health checks can be done using a self-collecting finger prick kit, however, if you wish to order one of our larger profiles such as Vitality and Ultimate, or create a large bespoke test yourself using our 'Add More Markers' functionality your sample will need to be drawn from a vein.

During your purchase, you will have the option of ordering a home phlebotomy draw where a mobile nurse will come to your home to draw your blood. Alternatively, you can order just the phlebotomy kit and take this to a local health clinic or your GP to use to draw your blood and post your sample to our lab.
